This sweet baby girl was such a dream to work with. Contact me here to be your Dallas newborn photographer. At 5 weeks old, baby Gigi was a bit bigger than most newborns that come for their photo shoot, but that didn’t matter at all, we still created a set of gorgeous images. Baby Gigi loved being wrapped and looked stunning with this flower setup that I made completely by hand. It took a long time to glue each individual real-look silk flower to this mauve colored blanket, but I love how it turned out. I bought some mauve stretch knit fabric to make the wrap as well as the headband with one simple flower. The actual flower blanket was in a circle shape, but I thought it’d be fun to use Photoshop to make it into a heart!
I love using original hand-made props so that your images don’t look like everyone else’s. The planning part of your newborn session is one of my favorites. I love including special personal elements from your family and your style so that your images are truly meaningful and personal to you. Contact me to schedule a complimentary consultation to go over all the options you have for your maternity and newborn portrait sessions.
Here is another one of my favorite props. I love this metal bed with an antique white finish. It is large so fits any size of baby or even twins! I love how little Gigi just relaxed in there and gave us the sweetest little smile!
Another one of my favorite poses is this simple sleepy baby pose. Gigi is wrapped up all comfortably and laid down on my newborn posing beanbag and then the end of the fabric is draped over her and it makes it look like she is tucked into a little bed and dreaming away. I love baby poses that are natural and just show their sweet perfection as it is.
Sometimes moms bring their own headbands that they want baby to wear, but they might not quite match the wraps or outfits I have. It’s no problem at all! A little Photoshop magic and this previously pink flowered headband was changed to perfectly match the neutral tan wrap set we had going on. Perfection and you’d never know!
Gigi looked so good in mauve. This image of her in this tiny baby bed went so well together with the images of the flower blanket setup. They will make a stunning framed wall art display.
